1. TO ENTER:

• Knit or crochet a prayer shawl using Lion Brand® Homespun® yarn and in accordance with the rules which follow below. Take a photograph of your knit or crochet prayer shawl. Write an inspiring story of up to 200 words about it. Submit your photograph and story electronically, as described below. Entries may be submitted from March 1, 2010 12:01am CST through June 1, 2010. Entries must be received by 11:59pm CST June 1, 2010.
• To enter online: complete the online entry form at HomespunPrayerShawl.com, upload a photograph of your prayer shawl (in JPEG format), and type in your story.
• The entry form will request personal contact information, type of craft, project description including materials and colors, and have room to enter your story.
• There is no limit to the number of projects you may enter, but entrants may only submit each project one (1) time in the appropriate category.
• Only entries accompanied by a photograph, a completed entry form, and a story will be judged.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION:

• Create your entry using any pattern you choose, or design and create your own pattern. You must, however, supply information as to the origin of the pattern submitted in your entry. It may be from a book, Lion Brand, another yarn company, a family pattern, etc. All projects must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe any third party copyright, trademark, right of privacy or publicity, moral rights or any other rights of any third party. Projects are subject to verification. Submission of entry grants Sponsors the right to publish, use, edit, adapt and/or modify story, photograph and/or design and any part thereof at Sponsors’ sole discretion, in any and all media, now known or hereinafter invented, including on the world wide web, in perpetuity for advertising and promotional purposes without review, approval or notification of winners. If the winning designs are original designs, the designs will become the property of Hobby Lobby and Lion Brand^®.
• Write an inspirational and moving story (200 words or less) about the prayer shawl you made, including such details as who you made it for, why did you make it, how did it affect the person you made it for, how did it affect you.
• All photos, stories and entries become the property of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. and Lion Brand Yarn and will not be returned.
• Winners will be notified by e-mail and/or phone and his or her name and winning entry (including photograph and/or story) may be publicly displayed on the HomespunPrayerShawl.com web site, on Sponsors’ websites, and included in Sponsors’ press releases, at the sole discretion of the Sponsors.
• Winners will be notified on or about August 31, 2010.

3. ELIGIBILITY:

• The Lion Brand and Hobby Lobby Prayer Shawl Contest is open to legal residents of the continental United States who are of the legal age of majority in their state of residence, except residents of Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee and Vermont.
• Employees of Lion Brand® Yarn, Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, suppliers, retailers, and sales representatives and the immediate families (including spouse, parents, children and siblings) and household members of such employees are not eligible.
• Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void in Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee and Vermont and where prohibited by law.
  

4. JUDGING:

• Entries will be judged by a panel of qualified judges. Judge’s decisions are final and binding.
• Entries will be judged on: 35% workmanship/technique of the shawl, 30% creativity of the shawl, 25% appeal of the story, 10% uniqueness of the story. All entries must use primarily Lion Brand Homespun yarn. If desired, other Lion Brand yarns may be incorporated in small amounts.
  

5. PRIZES:

• Lion Brand will match all winning prizes and donate respective prize amount to the winner's favorite charity. To qualify, the charity must be registered 501(c)(3).
• One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive $500, plus a $500 match will be donated to his/her favorite qualified charity.
• A Total of Six (6) Second Place Winners and Six (6) Third Place Winners will be selected from entrants in each of the two (2) categories: (1) Knit (2) Crochet:
• Three (3) Second Prize Winners for Knit Category will receive $250 plus a $250 match will be donated to their favorite qualified charities.
• Three (3) Second Prize Winners for Crochet Category will receive $250 plus a $250 match will be donated to their favorite qualified charities.
• Three (3) Third Prize Winners for Knit Category will receive $100 plus a $100 match will be donated to their favorite qualified charities.
• Three (3) Third Prize Winners for Crochet Category will receive $100 plus a $100 match will be donated to their favorite qualified charities.
• Estimated Retail Value of All Prizes: $5,200
  
• Odds of winning depending on the number and quality of eligible entries received.
• Winners will be notified via e-mail or phone on or about August 31, 2010. All prize winners may be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where lawful, a Publicity Release prior to claiming prize or prize will be forfeited. Winners must claim prize by September 30, 2010. If prize notice or prize is returned as undeliverable or the selected entrant does not respond and claim prize by September 30, 2010, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
• By accepting prize, winner agrees that Lion Brand® Yarns and Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., and their directors, agents and employees, shall have no liability for any loss or damage incurred in connection with acceptance or use of the prizes awarded in this contest.
• All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of winners.

6. OTHER TERMS:

• Entrants agree to abide by the Contest Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsors, which are final.
• The winning projects and stories may be featured on LionBrand.com, HomespunPrayerShawl.com and HobbyLobby.com. By entering the contest you acknowledge, if you win, that your personal name, city and state will be used by Hobby Lobby and Lion Brand for promotional purposes.
• By entering, entrants agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, participant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsors in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. By entering, entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts located in New York.
• Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. and Lion Brand Yarn assume no responsibility for software or hardware malfunctions or for lost, stolen, delayed, corrupt, or damaged entries or for any failure of the web site during the promotional period.
• Online entries generated by script, macro or other automated means will be disqualified. Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
• CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
• If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, human error or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
